Cameras have been down on Grant Ellis’ season 29 of The Bachelor for months, but the drama hasn’t stopped.
Less than three months after the finale aired, Grant, 31, shared that he and Juliana Pasquarosa had called it quits, noting they “both gave this our best.” Juliana, 28, said in a separate June statement that their decision to end their engagement is one that is “filled with mutual respect, care and hope for what’s ahead.”
In the days that followed, Us Weekly confirmed that Grant and Juliana had unfollowed each other on Instagram (although it was unclear when they stopped keeping tabs on each other). The former lead later said during an Instagram Live that he “didn’t break up with anybody” before clarifying that the separation was “mutual.”
While going through the split, Grant ruffled some feathers with his exes when he claimed he wasn’t looking to rekindle a relationship with any of them. Fans took to TikTok to quip that his exes weren’t even interested in getting back together with him in the first place — which second runner-up Zoe McGrady reposted. Grant appeared to react to Zoe’s reshare in a since-deleted TikTok, which then led to back-and-forths between the exes — amid his drama with another former flame.

The Key Players
Grant was first introduced to Bachelor Nation on Jenn Tran’s season 21 of The Bachelorette. After being sent home, Grant was named the lead of The Bachelor season 30 and quickly formed connections with many of his suitors. Grant ultimately sent Zoe home after the fantasy suite episode, ahead of his breakup with runner-up Litia Garr.
Litia, for her part, claimed that Grant told her he could stop the show early because she was The One. When reflecting on the moment, Grant told Us that there was “a lot” Litia said that he didn’t “align” with. Litia has since released “Gaslight Survivor” hats as an ode to her time on the series.
Juliana ultimately accepted a proposal from Grant in the season 30 finale. The pair split months later, with Juliana seemingly making several references to the breakup via social media. In a June TikTok, Juliana wrote that she would “never regret loving with [her] whole heart every time.”
While much of the drama stems from fellow Bachelor Nation members, Grant and Zoe both mentioned …. Chris Brown? More on that later.

The Gist
Litia raised eyebrows when she released her “Gaslight Survivor” hats, which she defended. “It’s not accurate to use the term gaslit in this situation,” one user wrote via Instagram in June, to which Litia replied, “It happened to me so I’ll decide what it’s called. Thanks tho 💘 call your own experiences whatever you want.”
Grant, for his part, appeared to react to the caps in a TikTok by wearing a hat that read, “Happy.” When a user pointed out that “everyone is just talking to each other through hats,” Grant replied with three crying laughing emojis.
Zoe, meanwhile, released a four-minute TikTok video addressing her experience on the show after Grant claimed he wouldn’t rekindle with any of his exes. He appeared to react to her video in a six-minute clip where he addressed her points one by one.
“I’m going to address this little rumor that no one likes me on the cast. I’m friends with almost every single woman on the cast,” Zoe said before claiming that she got called several “names” within 12 hours of filming. “I experienced the worst PTSD of my life as a strong woman who’s come from a super toxic household. That was one of the worst experiences of my life and I stayed in it because I thought you were a good person.”
She alleged, “When the girl who wins is the one spearheading a lot of this, obviously things can get edited to look a very specific way.” (When the BachelorNation.Scoop Instagram account shared Zoe’s video, one user noted that they “need to know more about Julianna spearheading the bullying??” Juliana replied, “same???????????”)
Zoe claimed that Grant repeatedly questioned whether she was here for the right reasons — a common phrase used among Bachelor Nation members, essentially meaning he was wondering if she had ulterior motives. She alleged that Grant “suddenly” wanted to vie for Dancing With the Stars and “drop a rap career” with his track “Party Girls,” which she claimed was about his contestants. Grant said in his video that the lyrics to the song are “up for interpretation.”
“What I’m more concerned about is how you’ve behaved since. Things that I really do not like and why I reposted that and why I would never date someone like you in real life is I don’t support people who support MAGA,” she said, referencing President Donald Trump’s Make America Great Again slogan. (Juliana faced controversy in April when she appeared to delete a TikTok that included a nod to Trump in the background, which she later claimed was not filmed inside her house. Grant clarified in his video that he doesn’t have “any political views” but instead wants “people to thrive.”)
Zoe claimed that she doesn’t “support people who defend Chris Brown,” to which Grant noted that he doesn’t “condone domestic violence at all.” (Brown, 36, pleaded guilty to domestic violence charges in 2009 after an argument with Rihanna. He received five years of probation and six months of community service and attended domestic violence counseling.)
“You weaponizing being Black when it’s convenient for you,” Zoe alleged. “You wanted to have light-skin Mondays, you had a bunch of Black women on your cast. It’s giving colorist and it’s giving opportunists when it’s convenient for you.” (Grant noted that he has “never discriminated based on color” but was instead “poking fun at myself.” He apologized if “somebody took that the wrong way.”)

Why It’s a Big Deal
Having several contestants speak out against a lead within months of the season airing isn’t exactly commonplace in Bachelor Nation. Take Joey Graziadei, for example. When Joey split from runner-up Daisy Kent in the finale, she tearfully told him, “I’m pulling for you.”
What People Are Saying
While some users are encouraging Grant not to “listen to the noise,” others are siding with his exes. “Come on now,” one user wrote via his TikTok, referring to Litia’s infamous catchphrase when the pair called it quits.
